I am sure you must have relished the challenge of IIT JEE Main and must be taking a day off before starting the rigorous preparation of IIT JEE Advanced. Wish you good luck for your journey till JEE Advanced.
This year physics paper was tougher than maths and chemistry. Major section of paper was set from class 12th syllabus. In JEE 2014 there were many questions which could be solved by general analysis, but this year most of the problems conceptual.
This year the number of students, appearing for JEE Mains, has seen a reduction of about 5%. This is probably due to states opting for their own CET and also due to other career options becoming popular among students. But we feel the biggest contributor to this is the quality of new Engg colleges across states. Hence students are better advised to study harder and qualify through JEE Main to JEE Advanced or to various NIT’s.
This year the cut-off of JEE Main is expected to be very close to last years ie 115. The paper had a few errors as usual confusing the students a bit.
